The sale day went better than I could have ever hoped. We had a sunny day, a hall full of daffs, GORGEOUS stalls (and I somehow didn't spend all my takings - yet), delicious Boden clothes, and a steady stream of visitors.
My stall came together, and I managed not to spike anyone with bamboo canes or stab anyone with a needle. I even made some custom requests for hair elastics and clips on the spot which was a very special feeling, and I have a couple of orders to fill. Yay!

So, to say thank you to everyone who left me good luck wishes, and to say sorry for not replying to everyone individually, I'm having a retrospective giveaway. I've drawn a random name from the people who commented on the last post, and I'll make for you one of my covered notebooks with a little picture of your choice on the front. To remind you of the sorts of things I make, here's a reminder:

And the winner is ....
Lucy Locket!
Lucy, I'll be in touch to find out what you'd like on your notebook.
Now it'd back to the reality of a neglected house and a pile of ironing. Ah, well!
Congrats to Lucy...and thanks for the fun, DottyCookie! Your stall looks lovely and all your stock sooo charming and tempting... So very, very glad it went beyond your dreams--hooray! Well don... :o) ((HUGS))

I'm so pleased it went great for you.. I'm glad it was all worth it in the end.. I think that now you have done it, the next one will be a breeze xx I didn't make it (I'm pretty sick) but you were in my thoughts, I kept saying to my mum, 'I wonder how Dotty is doing with her stall?' I shall have to tell her it went all fantastically for you.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Lucy xx

ReplyDeleteLucy will love her notebook.
ReplyDeleteI use the one you made me in my 'projects' knitting bag. I put the details of the pattern I'm working on in the book and then the whole thing is portable and I'm not losing bits of paper everywhere. Love it!
I'm so glad you did well! It was such a lovely weekend too. Your little notebooks are just lovely - lucky Lucy!
ReplyDeleteOh WOW!!!! I have just shocked the whole family with my SQUEALING!!! Thank you so much for picking me!
ReplyDeleteI was calmly reading your post, feeling really pleased that your stall had gone well, wondering who was the lucky duck that had won your retrospective giveaway, thinking about how much I prefer retrospectives, and not expecting for one moment that it would be me so it was a truly fantastic surprise! I'm so delighted!!!!
Am I really allowed to choose the design too? If so, could I pretty, pretty please have something like the toadstool? I've realised that I am starting to get a bit of "a thing" about gnome-homes and toadstools lately!
Oooh! You've really made my day!
Thank you again Val! Lucy xxx
So glad it went well! Congratulations to Lucy Locket too.
