Soggy Saturday

It's grey and horrid here today; we have seen some sun but it's long gone now. We've played with the hamster and put her in the dolls' house where she explored and happily did not relieve herself. Mr DC is off singing and the Smalls and I have exhausted all the usual Saturday options, so we decided to dig through the kitchen cupboards to make a teatime treat. The health police
need to look away now.

All this and Lenny Henry as Othello on Radio4 - oh Lordy, he's just done for Desdemona. And now I am off to clean the kitchen floor (again!)

  1. Oooooh yummy! Dot has just been making us some delicious oat cookies - I've eaten so many that I feel a bit sick now!

  2. It really is that kind of weather, isn't it? Sunshine finally arrived, dogs walked, dinner all prepped and ready and am feeling fabulously guilt-free as have attended (as audience) a school choir event this afternoon. Washing is in machine and children are both reading happily. I think the baking cupboard calls.

  10. The Health Police better not work on Saturdays. Otherwise I'm in trouble. Big trouble.

  12. I felt quite unequal to Othello yesterday, so had to turn the radio off. There was a programme about parasites earlier in the week - unfortunately I heard it twice, and I am still uneasy about worms.

  15. The health police have a lot to answer for these days I feel (proof: I just saw an article saying that there are worries over the size of cinema portions - that's the whole point of them!)

On a jollier note, those sweeties look utterly delicious :D
