Inevitability

It was always going to happen. As soon as I'd made one little felt house picture my mental wheels started churning and I realised I needed to make my own design.

Not terribly original - mushroomy elf and mouse houses abound in blogland and beyond - but I am pleased to have conjured this out of my head and rendered it in felt and thread.

Now I need to try to translate some of the other silly images I have into reality. I have some outrageously glittery felt that is screaming out for festive treatment ...

  2. That is really lovely. I like the detail for the mushroom gills. I used to love picture books with those kind of magical mushroom houses in.(when I was small you understand)

  5. How satisfying to have completed your own design. It's very pretty and I'm sure there must be a fairy or two hiding inside!

  10. I think that is stunning, you need to keep them all in hoops and hang them on the wall. How fantastic. It would also look fab on the side of a tea cosy too

  11. Oh! Oh! Oh! Completely magical. And yet rather depressing, because while I think I might be able to duplicate the other one, there is no way I could do anything as cool as this one. *Sigh* You're a genius among crafters, you are.
