View from my window

Kitchen poetry , day 5

This is the view of the village church from a funny little window that's next to the cooker hood, and above head height for me. It's home to a collection of plates and pots and mugs painted by the Smalls. They need regular washing as they tend to collect that sticky dust peculiar to kitchens - unless that's just my kitchen, of course, in which case I might run away and hide ...

PS - anyone else noticed that the blogger security words are sort of mad words now rather than random letters?

  9. I am suspicious of kitchens that do not have sticky dust - it's the ones where nobody cooks.

  12. Sticky dust? I'm sure I would get it too if only there was a surface tidy enough for it to land on - in our house all surfaces have a protective layer of clutter to keep them dust free!!!!

  13. Isn't blogging funny... that's 13 (and counting) comments on the dreaded 'sticky dust'.

I hate hate hate it. sometimes I wonder why I opted for open shelves in our kitchen.

How nice to look out on the church.

  15. I so love pottery painted by little ones. I tried doing some paint-your-own at Bridgewater in July and was so unsuccessful. I think I was just far too old and inhibited. Such a fabby collection you have! K x

LAMENTABLY I too have sticky dust (not much but that is only because it is a small kitchen)
