Quick! Type rapidly!

We've had half a week of very intermittent internet connectivity - it could go down again at any second so I shall make this as brief as possible!!

Congrats to all those who guessed I was/am making angels - 8 of them to be precise, plus 7 shepherds, 3 kings, Mary and Joseph. Not entirely alone - I made 9 of the tunics plus all the headdresses, haloes, crowns etc; while 3 other heroic mums shared the other tunics between them.

This is what they are looking like so far - they still need poppers at the neck instead of safety pins, and models who allow me more than 2 seconds to put on anything other than the angel ...

Huge thanks to clever Gina for the loan of the tunic pattern. And now I have pushed my luck far enough with the internet, so I'm off!

You are wonderful. Truly. I hired costumes this year I was feeling so lazy!

Everytime I see your little girl's hair I am struck by how similar it is to Margot's.

oh my heart sinks. I have to make a Mary costume, and I am hopeless. Last time I just lay the child down and drew around it. I am very, very, in awe

Oh! They look absolutely wonderful. It seems a shame that they're only for the natvity play they look beautiful enough to become party dresses - for the angel at least. You are very clever.

They are beautiful, really lovely. You'll enjoy the Nativity SO much this year, seeing those little people wearing your 'stuff'. Well done you!

Hope your connectivity gets sorted very soon!

they're truly lovely, you've done a great job, and made some mummy's very happy that they didn't have to provide their own!

Brilliant costumes Val! A friend and I made a whole load one year but this time Fred is just a narrator and has to wear something smart - now THAT is going to be difficult!

You're amazing! That is an awful lot of tunics. Maybe this is the real reason we don't have nativity plays in America! K x

Oh good grief, you are a saint, I do hope your school appreciates you. They do look gorgeous, Christmas school plays are one of the very best parts of the whole season. I have one angel and one shepherd this year.

Ack! What an accomplishment!! It's reminding me of some of the sewing wizardry my mother used to perform. Tragically, the seamstress gene skipped a generation...
