Practice, practice, practice

I've been experimenting on the children again. One of the teachers at their nursery is an accomplished face painter and since I used to do a bit of decorative painting I thought I'd have a bash.

Let's just say that while I'm fairly happy with the pumpkin, roses are far easier to do when your surface doesn't keep jumping up and down!!

  1. I think the rose is amazing! Especially if the target was jumping up and down! I can never let my guys have their faces painted as Dorothy has a reaction to it and I don't want to risk the other two. I'm sure hands would be okay though - if they kept still that is! Lucy x

  4. Clever you! I've always thought face painting would be a pretty lucrative sideline, but my artistic endeavors have never extended beyond the odd pirate mustache or black eyed skull thing.

  6. I love both the pumpkin and the rose. I am rubbish at face painting, and leave it to the once a year trip to the school fair where they have the most amazing artist do all sorts of creations. I hate the smell of the paints too which doesn't help!

  7. You've definitely got a good eye for drawing roses and pumpkins - they are delightful. I bet you all the children will be queuing up at the door for a DottyCookie Original!

  10. Wow, the details on those "face..er...hand paintings" is wonderful. Anyone would be happy to have that painted on them. Colleen in South Africa

  11. Very sweet. My daughter insists that she will be a hairdresser AND a face painter when she grows up! Well, no use confining yourself to one or the other is there?
